it's a tough one with VAR, I really don't like principally because it's 'American' but one reason I do think it will be good is that it will finally stop all the bigger clubs getting the calls. That said, a lot of the time it will STILL be down to interpretation, as we have seen already, so it's hardly fool-proof anyway.

Putting my mates Chelsea hat on................
We need to finish in the top 2, 3rd as long as we play great football will be just about acceptable, 4th then the manager needs sacking, especially if we dont win either Cup.
If we lose more than 2 games in a row, we need to boo the manager and the players.
Pretty reasonable i think.

VAR will destroy the game. Its the cuntyish thing ever when you’re bouncing about in the stands and then after five minutes without any indication of what’s going on you find out it’s not a goal. That feeling is very very bad.
Itdoesnt even seem to be getting good decisions either.
You wait!

I know many of you youngsters just think it's being overdramatic, but I'm honestly hoping that with VAR and rule changes, the game is still watchable. Right now I feel the essence of the game has been ripped out, and I cannot understand why anybody would back a change that takes away the spontaneity and joy of scoring, and replaces it with delayed conformation. Fucking awful, worst thing to happen in the history of fottball - but hoping VAR will be retracted after a full season of ripping the passion out of the sport.
I know. I'm an old git.
But I'm right.
